Sulphur-breasted Warbler

Phylloscopus poliogenys

The Sulphur-breasted Warbler (Phylloscopus poliogenys) is a small passerine bird found in the high altitude forests of the eastern Himalayas. It is known for its olive-green upperparts, bright yellow underparts, and distinct white supercilium. This warbler is often found foraging in the dense undergrowth and mossy trees, using its sharp bill to capture insects. It is a migratory species, breeding in the montane forests and then moving to lower elevations during the winter. The Sulphur-breasted Warbler is known for its melodious and varied song, which adds to the charm of the high-altitude forests where it resides.
