Sulphur-winged Parakeet, Pyrrhura hoffmanni, is a parrot of Middle America, breeding in Costa Rica and Panama. It belongs to the family Psittacidae and was described by Cabanis in 1861. Its range is centred on montane forest and nearby shrubby or secondary growth, with the nominate form in southern Costa Rica and another race in western Panama. The species is named for Karl Hoffmann. It is a member of the Psittaciformes and is also known in aviculture as Hoffmann’s conure.
