Sulphury Flycatcher, Tyrannopsis sulphurea, is a passerine of the Tyrannidae family that breeds in Amazonia in South America. It is closely tied to moriche palms, using them in swamp forest, savanna, cultivated places and even near homes. The species is the sole member of its genus and has no subspecies. It occurs on Trinidad and across mainland South America, with the exception of Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. Adults show the same plumage in both sexes, with a dusky head, a concealed orange-yellow crown patch, olive-brown upperparts, dark wings, and bright yellow underparts.
