Sumba Hornbill, Rhyticeros everetti, is a hornbill of Sumba in the Lesser Sundas, where it is confined to semi-evergreen forest in the lowlands and up to 950 m. It was described by Rothschild in 1898. The male has a dark reddish-brown crown and nape with a paler neck, while the female is entirely black. Both sexes show a large dull yellowish bill with a maroon base patch, a serrated casque and an inflatable blue throat.
