Sunda Cuckooshrike

Coracina macei

The Sunda Cuckooshrike (Coracina macei) is a medium-sized passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive black and white plumage, with a black head, back, and wings, and a white belly and underparts. The male has a striking black mask around its eyes. This species is known for its melodious and varied calls, and it primarily feeds on insects and small fruits. The Sunda Cuckooshrike is often observed foraging in the mid to upper levels of the forest canopy. It is a resident bird and does not undertake long migrations.
