Sunda Laughingthrush, Garrulax palliatus, is a bird of montane Sumatra and Borneo in the Oriental Region. It belongs to the family Leiothrichidae and was described by Bonaparte in 1850. Its range includes Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia. It lives in moist lowland forest and moist montane forest, with the Sumatra form mainly in montane rain forest and the Borneo form also using submontane hill forest. Human pressure through hunting, logging and trapping affects it. It is a medium-sized bird, about 24–25 cm long, and it feeds on insects and seeds.
