Sunda Zebra Finch, Taeniopygia guttata, is a passerine of the Estrildidae family that breeds in the Lesser Sundas, from Lombok to Timor. It was described by Vieillot in 1817. For many years, its Australian relative was treated as part of the same species, but it is now usually recognised separately as Taeniopygia castanotis. As a result, much older literature using the name T. guttata often concerns the Australian bird rather than this one.
