Supercilious Warbler

Oreothlypis superciliosa

The Supercilious Warbler, scientifically known as Oreothlypis superciliosa, is a small migratory bird found in North and Central America. This warbler is known for its distinctive bright yellow underparts and olive-green upperparts, with a bold white supercilium and dark eyeline. It is a highly active and agile bird, often foraging for insects in dense shrubs and low vegetation. The song of the Supercilious Warbler is a series of high-pitched, musical trills. During the breeding season, it nests in open woodlands and shrubby areas, while in winter, it migrates to tropical regions. Despite its widespread distribution, the species faces threats from habitat loss and fragmentation.
