Swamp Grass Babbler, Laticilla cinerascens, is a passerine of north-east India and northern Bangladesh, with its breeding range in the Brahmaputra plains and the Cachar district of Assam. It is found in grassland and reed-filled country, especially where tall grasses grow near large rivers or swamps. The bird is a ground babbler with a long, strongly graduated tail and a clear white eye-ring. Some authorities treat it as part of the rufous-vented grass babbler, but it is here recognised as a separate species.
