Swinhoe's thrush (Zoothera marginata) is a medium-sized thrush found in East Asia. It has a distinctive appearance, with a mottled brown and white plumage, a white belly, and a prominent eye ring. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard in the dense undergrowth of its forest habitat. Swinhoe's thrush is primarily insectivorous, foraging on the forest floor for insects, worms, and berries. It is a migratory bird, breeding in the Russian Far East and wintering in southern China, Southeast Asia, and the Philippines. Despite facing threats from habitat loss and deforestation, its population is currently stable, and it is classified as Least Concern by the IUCN.
