Tacarcuna Tapaculo, Scytalopus panamensis, is a passerine of the Rhinocryptidae family that breeds in eastern Panama and north-west Colombia. It is tied to humid montane forest and the forest edge, where it lives in the undergrowth between 1,050 and 1,500 m. The species was described by Chapman in 1915. It was once known as the pale-throated tapaculo, and the form later separated as Nariño tapaculo had been treated as part of it. Its range is centred on Cerro Tacarcuna and Cerro Mali.
