Taiga Bean Goose, Anser fabalis, is a goose in the Anatidae family and the order Anseriformes. It breeds across the northern parts of Europe and Asia, within the Palearctic. The species moves south for the winter, spending that season further into Europe and Asia. Since 2007, the International Ornithologists’ Union and the American Ornithological Society have treated it as distinct from the tundra bean goose, although some other authorities still combine the two as bean goose.
