Its plumage is characterized by a combination of dark grey, white, and rufous colors, with distinct facial markings. The Taita falcon is a territorial species, often nesting on cliff ledges or in rocky crevices. It preys on small birds and insects, using its exceptional speed and agility to capture its prey in mid-air. Due to habitat loss and limited range, the Taita falcon is classified as Endangered by the IUCN.
