Taiwan Shortwing, Brachypteryx goodfellowi, is a passerine of the family Muscicapidae that breeds in montane Taiwan. It is endemic to Taiwan and lives in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. A shy bird, it keeps close to the ground and stays deep in dark vegetation. Its nest is made from moss and grass stems and is set in a dense shrub. Described by Ogilvie-Grant in 1912, it belongs to the chats and Old World flycatchers.
