Taliabu Bush Warbler, Locustella portenta, is a locustellid bird found in montane Taliabu in the Sula Islands east of Sulawesi. It is confined to a very small area in the island’s mountainous interior. It stands apart from other Locustella by its distinctive vocalisations and by fine dusty speckling on the body, becoming denser on the breast and lower throat. Described in 2020 by Rheindt, Prawiradilaga, Ashari, Suparno and Gwee, it was one of several island birds identified from surveys carried out in 2009 and 2013.
