Taliabu Masked Owl, Tyto nigrobrunnea, is an owl of the barn owl family found in Australasia on Taliabu in the Sula Islands east of Sulawesi. It is endemic to Taliabu Island of Indonesia. First described by Neumann in 1939, it was identified from a specimen collected in 1938. The bird was not recorded again until 1991, after which it has been noted on at least 16 separate occasions.
