Tanimbar Boobook, Ninox forbesi, is an owl of the Tanimbar Islands in the southern Moluccas, within Australasia. It belongs to the family Strigidae and was described by Sclater, PL, in 1883. Its breeding range is confined to this island group. It is associated with subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It was once treated as part of the Moluccan boobook, but is now recognised as a separate species.
