Tanimbar Megapode, Megapodius tenimberensis, is a terrestrial bird of the Tanimbar Islands in the southern Moluccas, within Australasia. It belongs to the megapodes and is placed in the family Megapodiidae, in the order Galliformes. It is found in forest and scrub habitats across its island range. The bird is associated with nesting mounds made from sand, leaf litter and other debris, where warmth from decaying material helps to incubate the eggs. It was described by Sclater, PL, in 1883.
