Tawny-rumped Tyrannulet, Tyranniscus uropygialis, is a passerine of the Tyrannidae family that breeds in South America from Venezuela to north-west Argentina. It lives in humid montane forest across the Andes, including Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia, and the Argentine record is unconfirmed. Its most striking feature is the bright cinnamon rump and uppertail coverts, set against a dark brown crown and olive-brown upperparts. The sexes look alike. It was first described in 1869 by Lawrence.
