Tawny-winged Woodcreeper

Tawny-winged Woodcreeper, Dendrocincla anabatina, is a passerine of the ovenbird family that breeds in Middle America from south-eastern Mexico to western Panama. It is a resident bird of humid evergreen forest, especially mature stands, and also uses forest edges and other semi-open places nearby. On the Yucatán Peninsula it is found in semi-deciduous forest, and in Costa Rica it also occurs in mangroves. It is usually seen low down, and its range includes the Caribbean and Pacific slopes of its breeding area. The species was described by Sclater in 1859.
