Tepui Brushfinch Atlapetes personatus is a passerine of the New World sparrow family, breeding on South American tepuis. It is a resident bird of dense humid montane forest, where it uses the forest edge and understorey. In Venezuela it occurs from 1,000 to 2,500 m. The species was first described in 1849. Its range is highly fragmented, with different subspecies tied to separate tepuis in Venezuela and adjacent Brazil and Guyana. It is also linked to Mount Roraima, Auyán-tepui, Cerro Duida, Cerro Parú and Cerro de la Neblina.
