Thick-billed Warbler

Arundinax aedon

The Thick-billed Warbler is a medium-sized songbird found in the wetlands and reedbeds of East Asia. It has a distinctive thick bill, olive-brown upperparts, and a whitish underbelly with streaks. This species is known for its loud and varied song, which it uses to communicate and defend its territory. Thick-billed Warblers are primarily insectivorous, feeding on a variety of insects and their larvae. They construct cup-shaped nests within dense vegetation and lay a clutch of eggs. While not currently considered threatened, the destruction and degradation of its wetland habitats are potential future concerns for this species.
