Three-banded Warbler

Basileuterus trifasciatus

The Three-banded Warbler is a small, insectivorous bird found in the highland forests of Central and South America. It is known for its distinctive three bands of black, white, and yellow on its head. This species is often found foraging in the understory and lower canopy of montane forests, where it flits through the foliage in search of insects and small invertebrates. The Three-banded Warbler is known for its melodious song, which is often heard in the early morning and late afternoon. Despite its striking appearance, this species can be elusive and is best observed with patience and a keen eye.
