Passeridae — Old World Sparrows, Snowfinches

Tibetan Snowfinch, Montifringilla henrici, is a bird of the sparrow family that breeds in the south-central Palearctic, from north-east Qinghai south to south-central Tibet. It is associated with alpine steppe and high-altitude dry shrubland in Tibet. Also known as Henri’s Snowfinch, it was described by Oustalet in 1892. Some authorities have treated it as part of the White-winged Snowfinch, but it is recognised here as a separate species.
