These parrots have a dark charcoal-grey plumage, a horn-colored beak, and bright red tail feathers. They primarily feed on fruits, seeds, and nuts, and are often found in dense rainforest habitats. Due to habitat loss and trapping for the pet trade, the Timneh African Grey Parrot is facing population declines and is listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
