Timor white-eye

Zosterops tetiparius

The Timor white-eye (Zosterops tetiparius) is a small passerine bird found on the island of Timor in Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its distinctive white eye-ring, olive-green upperparts, and yellow underparts. This species is typically found in forested areas, including both primary and secondary growth, as well as in gardens and cultivated areas. The Timor white-eye forages for insects and nectar in the foliage and can often be seen in small flocks. While its population size has not been quantified, it is believed to be relatively common within its range. However, habitat loss and degradation may pose a threat to its population in the future.
