Scytalopus parvirostris Zimmer, JT, 1939
Trilling Tapaculo, Scytalopus parvirostris, is a tapaculo of the Andes in north-central Peru and east-central Bolivia. It lives on the eastern slope from southern Amazonas in Peru to western Santa Cruz in Bolivia, where it uses the undergrowth of humid montane forest. In Peru it occurs between 1,800 and 2,500 m, and in Bolivia from 2,000 to 3,200 m, reaching 3,300 m locally. It was once treated as part of Unicoloured Tapaculo, but was recognised as a separate species because of vocal differences. Its song varies across its range.
