Trinidad Euphonia

Trinidad Euphonia, Euphonia trinitatis, is a finch in the family Fringillidae and breeds from eastern Colombia and northern Venezuela through the Guianas to northern Brazil. It was first described by Strickland in 1851. In its range it is a South American bird, and it is also found on Trinidad, where it is uncommon to rare. It has no subspecies. The species is sexually dimorphic, with the male and female differing in plumage. It is placed in Passeriformes.
