Tropical Shearwater, Puffinus bailloni, is a seabird that breeds in the tropical Indian Ocean and tropical Pacific Ocean. It belongs to the petrel family, Procellariidae, and was described by Bonaparte in 1857. It is a member of the order Procellariiformes. The species was once treated as the same as Audubon’s Shearwater. Its breeding range includes islands in the northwest Indian Ocean, the Seychelles, Mauritius, Réunion, Europa Island, the Central Pacific islands and Vanuatu.
