Trumpet Manucode, Phonygammus keraudrenii, is a bird of paradise found in New Guinea and north-eastern Australia. It is associated with lowland rainforest across its range, which also includes the Aru Islands and the D’Entrecasteaux Islands. The bird takes its name from its powerful, far carrying trumpet-like calls. Its scientific name honours French Navy physician Pierre François Keraudren. Several subspecies are separated by geography, and the species is monogamous.
