Twelve-wired Bird-of-paradise, Seleucidis melanoleucus, is a bird-of-paradise that breeds in Australasia, on Salawati in the Raja Ampat Islands north-west of New Guinea and across New Guinea. It belongs to the family Paradisaeidae and the order Passeriformes. The male is marked by a red iris, a long black bill and yellow flank plumes, from which twelve blackish, wire-like filaments extend and curve over the rear of the body. The female is brown with buff underparts barred in black. The species lives in lowland and swamp forest.
