Undulated Tinamou

Undulated Tinamou, Crypturellus undulatus, is a ground bird of the Tinamidae family in the order Tinamiformes. It occurs in South America, with the IOC breeding range given as Amazonia and surrounding areas. The species is found in a broad variety of wooded settings, from dense humid forest to drier, more open savanna-woodland. It is recorded at elevations up to 1,400 m. Although usually resident, it can make small seasonal shifts between habitats. It is also noted as secretive and more often heard than seen.
