Uniform Woodcreeper, Hylexetastes uniformis, is a passerine of the Furnariidae family that breeds in south-east Amazonia in South America. It was described by Hellmayr in 1909. This bird is a large, heavy woodcreeper with a short, strong bill, and the sexes look the same. Its range lies in Bolivia and Brazil, with the nominate form in Brazil south of the Amazon between the Madeira and Xingu rivers, extending to Mato Grosso and north-eastern Bolivia, while brigidai occurs farther east. It uses terra firme forest, gallery forest, seasonally flooded forest, forest edges and older secondary growth.
