Van Dam's Vanga (Xenopirostris damii) is a passerine in the Vangidae family, found in north-west and far north-east Madagascar. It lives in subtropical or tropical dry forests. Males can be told from females by the black hood, while females have only a black cap. The species was described by Schlegel in 1865. Its known range is very small and is limited to two confirmed sites, including Ankarafantsika National Park. Its habitat is being affected by human encroachment and fire.
