Empidonomus varius
The Variegated Flycatcher is a small, insect-eating bird found in South America. It is known for its distinctive call and agile aerial hunting behavior. This species has a brownish-gray upper body with a pale throat and belly, and its wings and tail are adorned with white and rufous patches. Variegated Flycatchers prefer open woodlands, forest edges, and savannas where they can forage for flying insects.
