Velvet-mantled Drongo Dicrurus modestus is a passerine in the drongo family Dicruridae. It occurs in Africa, with a breeding range from Sierra Leone east to central Democratic Republic of the Congo, west Kenya and north-west Angola. It belongs to the order Passeriformes and was described by Hartlaub in 1849.
