Venezuelan Flycatcher, Myiarchus venezuelensis, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family that breeds in northern Colombia and northern Venezuela. It was first described by Lawrence in 1865. It is a monotypic species with a disjunct range, and its main stronghold lies in the north of Colombia and across northern Venezuela. It is closely tied to the understorey of deciduous and semi-deciduous woodland, and also occurs along forest edges, in clearings, gallery forest, pastures with scattered trees, scrub, plantations, gardens and parks. In Colombia it is also found in mangroves.
