Verditer Flycatcher, Eumyias thalassinus, breeds across the Oriental Region from the Himalayas in Pakistan to eastern China, and through south-east Asia to Sumatra and Borneo. It is an Old World flycatcher in the family Muscicapidae. The bird is named for its distinctive blue tone, and it has a dark area between the eyes and above the base of the bill. Adult males are blue over most of the body, with a black eye-patch and grey vent, while females and young birds are paler blue. It was formerly placed in Muscicapa.
