Versicolored Barbet, Eubucco versicolor, is a New World barbet of South America, breeding from Peru to Bolivia. It was described by Müller in 1776 and belongs to the family Capitonidae in the order Piciformes. The species is found in humid submontane forest, especially where epiphytes and mosses are abundant, and also in mature secondary forest; in Bolivia it is recorded in dry forest as well. The three recognised forms differ in plumage, but all show a red face and crown in the male, with green to blue-green upperparts and yellowish underparts marked with green streaks.
