Visayan Blue Fantail, Rhipidura samarensis, is a bird of the Philippines, breeding on Bohol, Leyte and Samar in the Oriental Region. It lives in tropical moist lowland forest, reaching up to 1,200 metres above sea level. It is a member of the fantail family and was once treated as the same species as the Mindanao blue fantail. It can be told apart by its darker crown, paler blue wing edges and tail, and a slower call. Breeding has been recorded from February to August, and nests are placed in low bushes.
