Vulturine Parrot, Pyrilia vulturina, is a parrot of south-eastern Amazonia in Brazil, within the family Psittacidae. It was described by Kuhl in 1820. Its range lies south of the Amazon River, from the Madeira River eastwards to near the Atlantic coast in Maranhão. It uses both terra firme forest and seasonally flooded várzea forest. The adult has a mostly bare black face, yellowish lores, a yellow feather collar and a black band below it, with green upperparts and a reddish orange shoulder.
