Walden's Hornbill, Rhabdotorrhinus waldeni, breeds in the western Philippines on Panay and Negros. It is a hornbill of the Oriental Region and lives in rainforest there. The male can be told from the female by the colour of the throat and the skin around the eye: yellow in the male and blue in the female. It is closely related to the writhed hornbill, but that species has deep orange or red throat and eye skin in both sexes. It is also known locally as dulungan.
