Waller's Starling

Waller's Starling (Onychognathus walleri) is a medium-sized bird native to eastern Africa. It is known for its glossy black plumage with a metallic sheen, and bright yellow eye. This species is often found in rocky areas, cliffs, and open woodlands. Waller's Starlings are social birds, often seen in small flocks, and are known for their melodious calls and mimicry abilities. They primarily feed on fruits, insects, and small invertebrates. Despite facing some threats from habitat loss and trapping for the pet trade, the population of Waller's Starling is currently stable, and they are listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
