West African Wattle-eye, Platysteira hormophora, is a bird of the family Platysteiridae that breeds in West Africa from Sierra Leone to Benin. It occurs in a broad belt across the region, including Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo and Benin. Its range is tied to moist lowland forest, swamp and moist savanna. Reichenow described it in 1901.
