Cacatua pastinator
The Western Corella, scientifically known as Cacatua pastinator, is a medium-sized white cockatoo native to the southwestern regions of Australia. These social birds are often found in flocks, foraging for seeds, grains, and insects in open woodlands, farmlands, and urban areas. They are known for their distinctive raucous calls and playful behavior. Western Corellas are predominantly white with a pinkish wash on the face and patches of bright yellow under their wings. They are medium-sized parrots, measuring around 35-40 centimeters in length. The conservation status of the Western Corella is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
