Rhynchocyclus aequinoctialis (Sclater, PL, 1858)

Western Olivaceous Flatbill, Rhynchocyclus aequinoctialis, is a passerine of the Tyrannidae family that breeds in Middle America and northern South America, from eastern Panama and northern, central Colombia to north-east Venezuela, then south through western Amazonia from south-west Colombia to eastern Peru and northern Bolivia. It is a bird of humid primary forest, mature secondary forest and várzea forest, where it uses the understorey and middle storey. It is a year-round resident. A notable feature is its broad, flat bill, with a black upper mandible and a pale lower mandible.
