Western Subalpine Warbler

Western Subalpine Warbler, Curruca iberiae, breeds in Iberia, southern France, extreme north-west Italy, and north-west Africa from Morocco to Tunisia, and it winters in north-west and west Africa. It is a bird of dry open ground, especially on slopes with bushes, and nests in low shrubs or gorse. The nest holds 3–5 eggs. It is a small sylviid warbler. Adult males have a grey head and back, brick-red underparts, and white moustache stripes. Females are brown above, greyer on the head, and pale below with a pink wash.
