Whiskered Yuhina

Yuhina flavicollis Hodgson, 1836

Whiskered Yuhina, Yuhina flavicollis, is a white-eye of the Himalayas in the Oriental Region, where it occurs in forested mountain country from northern India through Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh, and east into parts of Indochina including Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. It is linked with subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and is most at home in relatively undisturbed, closed-canopy cover. It is among the commoner yuhinas in the Himalayas, though it is uncommon to rare at lower elevations. It was described by Hodgson in 1836.
