The White-bellied Sunbird (Aethopyga eximia) is a small, colorful bird found in the montane forests of the Philippines. This species is known for its striking white underparts and iridescent green and blue upperparts. The male displays vibrant colors, including a metallic green crown and throat, while the female is more subdued with olive-green plumage. White-bellied Sunbirds primarily feed on nectar from flowers and also consume insects. They are often observed flitting among the forest canopy, emitting high-pitched calls. These sunbirds play a crucial role in pollination within their habitat, contributing to the biodiversity of the region.
