Ramphocinclus brachyurus
The White-breasted Thrush, scientifically known as Ramphocinclus brachyurus, is a medium-sized thrush found in the forests of South America. It is characterized by its striking white breast and belly, contrasting with its dark brown upperparts. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard during the breeding season. The White-breasted Thrush forages on the forest floor for insects, small invertebrates, and fruits. It nests in dense vegetation, constructing a cup-shaped nest out of twigs, leaves, and moss. Despite being relatively common in its range, habitat loss and fragmentation pose threats to its populations.
